Proper Good soup is your solution to meals on those busy days when you don’t have the time to cook a healthy, nutritious meal. I was lucky enough to try three of Proper Good delicious soups: Spiced Pumpkin, Broccoli Cheddar, and Butternut Squash. Keep reading to learn more. This post is sponsored by Proper Good.

What is Proper Good?

Proper Good is a nutritious, heat and eat soup in a bag. It was created by Jen and Chris at a time when they were living active lifestyles and didn’t have the time to cook a healthy meal. They saw that the only options that were available to them were, healthy takeout (which can get expensive) or non-healthy takeout, which didn’t make them feel good after it was eaten.

Jen and Christ saw a problem and they created a solution: Proper Good. You can read all about their story here. I really resonate with their story because it’s similar to the reason I create Lovely Delites. I loved to eat and try different things, mostly sweets, but I wanted to find a solution to enjoy them in a way that didn’t make my body feel icky.

I love that Proper Good is so transparent about their ingredients and also what the soup looks by their transparent bags! Their unique packaging allows you to store your unopened meals at room temperature (no need for refrigeration or freezing) which means you can take your pouches anywhere!

What kind of ingredients are in Proper Good?

Proper Good only uses whole ingredients, no chemical preservatives and they include functional ingredients such as grass-fed bone broth and turmeric into their soups. They also have meals for different lifestyles such as keto, vegan and gluten-free, so there is something for just about everyone!

Butternut Squash

Proper Good’s Butternut Squash is one of their vegan soups that has a really creamy, thick and velvety texture. It’s made with real wholesome ingredients like butternut squash, cinnamon and coconut, carrots, onions and garlic. This soup is loaded with nutrients that will leave you feeling full and satisfied. I really love the contrast of sweet and savory in this soup!

This delicious soup has carefully selected functional ingredients that offer an array of benefits. The MCT’s in coconut milk can help you stay full. Couple this with immunity boosting turmeric and antioxidant packed cinnamon you have yourself one tasty, healthy and filling soup!

Butternut Squash is also gluten-free and has no added sugar, but you’d never believe it from it’s sweet taste! This delicious soup that is made with turmeric and coconut was pleasantly surprising! Check out a few of my photos below, I sprinkled mine with a dash of dried oregano and ate it with a slice of warm sourdough bread.

Spiced Pumpkin

Spiced Pumpkin soup is a limited batch and seasonal item. It’s made with coconut milk, cinnamon and turmeric giving it a great sweet and savory flavor. This soup is plant-based, vegan, gluten-free and has zero added sugar. It has a creamy and thick texture due to the coconut milk base but still maintains a ton of flavor.

Spiced Pumpkin is the perfect meal to get you in the mood for all things Fall. I absolutely loved the blend of the creamy pumpkin taste and autumnal spices. I was also really surprised at how filling it was. I again, ate it with a piece of sourdough bread that was great for dipping into the soup.

Broccoli Cheddar

The Broccoli Cheddar soup was my favorite from the bunch. It has bite sized chunks of broccoli in every bite that was both filling and satisfying. It’s made with a chicken bone broth base for a collagen rich, creamy and decadent meal.

The ingredients list to this soup includes: chicken bone broth, broccoli heavy cream, onions, carrots, coconut oil, cheddar cheese, garlic and rosemary extract. Broccoli Cheddar has 7g of protein and only 6 net carbs making it a great, well balanced meal!

A truly Proper Good meal

Overall, I am really pleased with my experience trying Proper Good! I love the clean and wholesome ingredients in each pouch, and I love the accessibility. There is no need to refrigerate these soups, meaning you can take them anywhere at anytime.

The soups are ready in 90 seconds by ripping off the top and placing them in the microwave, or you can heat them on the stovetop which was also quick, easy and efficient.

Proper Good also stands by their product offering a 30 day money back guarantee. If you don’t like or aren’t satisfied with the meals, they will offer your money back, no questions asked. Which really says a lot about a brand and their products!

But don’t take my word for it, head on over to Proper Good’s website to try it out yourself!
