The best Chocolate Pretzel Peanut Butter Fudge Bars

There are a few things in life that just pair perfectly together. Like peanut butter and jelly, chocolate and peanut butter to name a few. However, I’d just like to say that peanut butter, chocolate and pretzels should be the new trio on the stress. This pairing is the perfect balance of sweet and salty, soft and fudgey.

These Chocolate Pretzel Peanut Butter Fudge Bars are made with grain free salty pretzels, creamy all natural peanut butter, and stevia sweetened dark chocolate. This recipe is both vegan and gluten-free and is suitable for most diets and lifestyles.

Chocolate Pretzel Peanut Butter Fudge Bars are a no-bake treat, making these the perfect dessert to make when you just don’t want to turn on your oven (trust me, although it’s technically fall, it’s still in the high 90’s over here in LA County). Ingredients needed to make Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge Bars

These bars taste like there are a million ingredients in them because there is so much flavor, however, you’ll be so surprised to learn that there are only actually 4 simple ingredients.

peanut butter– I used salted all natural creamy peanut butter for this recipe, my favorite is from Trader Joe’s. Feel free to use any nut or seed butter that you’d like.

maple syrup– maple syrup is my favorite sweetener to use in my recipes because it’s an unrefined sugar and adds just a nice balance and flavor to any recipe.

gluten-free oat flour– to make this recipe completely gluten-free, you need to use gluten-free oat flour. I make my own at home by blending oats until there is a fine powder. If you are not gluten intolerant, you can use regular old fashioned oats.

grain free pretzels– I used grain-free pretzels for this recipe that I received from Savor Street. If you aren’t gluten-free you can use any pretzels that you’d like. I prefer salted pretzels for that perfect sweet and salty balance.

How to make no bake fudge bars

These Chocolate Pretzel Peanut Butter Fudge Bars are simple to make! First make the base by combining oat flour, maple syrup and crush pretzels together, then make the fudge layer by combining peanut butter and melted dark chocolate together. The longest part for this recipe is waiting for the chocolate to set in the freezer which can take up to 3 hours.

To start, prepare a loaf pan by lining it with parchement paper. I used a loaf pan for this recipe because I prefer a thicker bar, but if you want somethin thinner, then you can also use an 8×8 baking dish. Either way, pick your dish and line it with parchment paper and set aside.

Next, combine oat flour, maple syrup and crush pretzels together in a mixing bowl. Mix really well until a thick dough starts to form. Then add this dough to the prepared loaf pan and press down firmly until it’s in an even layer, set aside.

In a medium mixing bowl, add in dark chocolate chips and a small amount of coconut oil (so it melts smoothly), you can also use any other type of oil that you have on hand. Or you can heat the chocolate on the stovetop in a saucepan, whichever you prefer.

Next, combine peanut butter and melted chocolate together and mix until well incorporated. Pour this mixture over the crust and tap it a few times on the counter to ensure it’s even and smooth. Place pretzels on top and place the dish in the freezer for a minimum 3 hours to harden.

Cut into squares and enjoy! These are best stored in the freezer, let thaw on the counter for 2-3 minutes before enjoying. Store in the freezer and enjoy up to 30 days.
