Your new favorite air fried dessert or breakfast

I’m always looking for new and creative ways to use my air fryer, and with peaches being in season right now, what better way than to create a recipe combining the two. Now this isn’t my first time throwing peaches in the air fryer, my first recipe was air fried peaches that I shared over on tiktok, which quickly went viral. You can also find the recipe here.

What started as an idea to make something similar to my strawberry drop cookies, soon turned into making air fried peach fritters, which was a discovery I was pleased to find. These peach fritters are made with simple ingredients and are both soft and fluffy but crispy and buttery, just like the ones you get at the donut store.

I can’t wait for you to give this recipe a try and hear what you think. As always, don’t forget to take a picture and tag me over on instagram so I can re-share your creations. Also, please consider leaving a comment and rating below (under the recipe card), this helps my business so much!

Ingredients in air fryer peach fritters

Now, I don’t know about you, but I personally love recipes that double as breakfast or dessert. These peach fritters are healthy enough to have with your morning cup of coffee, but sweet and satisfying enough to enjoy for dessert. It’s truly and win win! Grab the ingredients below and let’s get baking.

egg- I used a chicken egg for this recipe to help give these fritters volume. I have not tested them without the egg, but my best judgement would be that you could sub apple sauce or a flax egg in replace to make vegan. However, please keep in mind that this will alter the end result since it’s not the same.

lemon juice– lemon juice is a great ingredient to help bring out the flavors in this recipe. The lemon juice adds the perfect amount of tanginess.

vegan butter– to make these peach fritters non-dairy, I used vegan butter. However, you can also use regular butter if you prefer.

vanilla– vanilla extract is necessary to add flavor

almond milk– I used almond milk to keep this recipe dairy free, however, you can sub any milk or nut milk alternative here without changing the recipe.

coconut sugar– I love using coconut sugar because it’s natural and unrefined. You can instead use any type of sweetener that you’d like such as white cane sugar, brown sugar or a liquid sweetener such an maple syrup, honey or agave.

all purpose flour– I don’t use all purpose flour for a ton of my recipes, mostly because it’s always asked for a substitute. However, all purpose flour is what really makes these fritters. If needed you can use gluten-free 1:1 or oat flour instead.

cinnamon– I used ground ceylon cinnamon to add the most flavor to these fritters.

ground ginger– just a small amount of ground ginger to add more flavor to these fritters. If you don’t have it, you can simply leave it out.

baking powder– baking powder is used to help these fritters become fluffy and soft.

salt– salt is absolutely necessary to help balance out all of the flavors used in these peach fritters.

peaches– I actually used nectarines for this recipe which is just an easier way to say peaches without the fuzz. These tend to be slightly sweeter which I prefer. However, feel free to use any type of peach for this recipe, they will all taste great!

How to make peach fritters

These Air Fryer Peach Fritters can’t be any easier to make. First we will mix the ingredients in one bowl (yes only one), then add them to the air fryer. All that’s left is to drizzle with icing and enjoy!

Start by combining the wet ingredients first. In a bowl, add in the egg, lemon juice melted vegan butter, vanilla extract, almond milk and coconut sugar. Mix with a whisk until ingredients are well combined.

Next, add in all purpose flour, cinnamon, ground ginger, baking powder, and salt. Mix with a rubber spatula until a thick dough is formed. Then, add in the diced peaches and mix until well incorporated.

Using a cookie scoop, scoop batter and place it on a piece of parchment paper. Then, place inside the air fryer and fry at 350F for 20-22 minutes. You can also bake them in the oven, or cook them on the stove top with butter or oil.

Once they are done baking, remove from the air fryer and let cool. In the meantime, make the icing by combining powdered sugar with almond milk. Drizzle over the cooled peach fritters and enjoy.
