Ingredients And Substitutions

These are the main ingredients and substitutions for Air Fryer Pizza Egg Rolls. Scroll down to the recipe card for a full list of ingredients and instructions.

Egg Roll Papers can be found in the refrigerator section at most grocery stores. Opt for a gluten-free option if necessary.

Ground turkey is what I used for the filling, however, you can also use ground beef, pork or chicken.

Use your favorite store-bought marinara sauce, or make your favorite homemade version.

Fresh garlic is going to add a ton of flavor.

For seasoning the turkey, I use onion powder, salt and pepper.

I stuffed these egg rolls with mozzarella cheese before air frying. Feel free to use your favorite cheese or dairy-free alternative.

How To Make

ONE: Start by making the ground turkey on the stovetop. Heat 1 Tbsp of Extra Virgin Olive Oil in a large skillet. Add in the ground turkey and season with salt, pepper, onion powder and freshly minced garlic. Break up with a spatula into small pieces and cook until there is no more pink.

TWO: Next, add in the marinara sauce and mix until well combined. Remove from heat.

THREE: Add some water to the edges of the egg roll wrapper and fill with the turkey mixture. Drain as much liquid as possible before placing in the papers. Then, tightly roll them up. Take the bottom of the egg roll wrapper and fold it upward, fold in the sides and then tightly roll the remainder up like a log.

FOUR: Place the egg rolls in the air fryer and lightly coat with non-stick spray. Then, air fry at 350F for 12 minutes, flipping halfway through.

FIVE: Serve with warm marinara sauce and enjoy!

Tips And Tricks

Dip your finger in water and brush it along the edges of the egg roll wrapper before adding in the filling.

Drain as much liquid as possible from the turkey mixture before adding to the egg roll wrappers. This will prevent a soggy egg roll.

If food is prone to sticking to your air fryer, then lightly coat the bottom before adding in the egg rolls.

Flip the egg rolls halfway through to ensure all the edges are crispy and golden brown.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground turkey
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground pepper

  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced 
  • 1.5 cups marinara sauce 
  • 12 Egg roll wrappers 
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese

Directions
