If using my homemade caramel recipe, I recommend making it the day before or a few hours before at least so it can firm up in the fridge. This makes it scoopable and spreadable.

Serve these Caramel Apple Bites once the caramel is firm enough and doesn’t drip from the edges.

Store in an airtight container in the fridge and enjoy within 4-5 days.

Taste And Texture

These Caramel Apple Bites are sweet, salty and slightly tangy. The caramel has a subtle coconut flavor because it’s made with all coconut ingredients but tastes just like caramel.

The texture is crisp, crunchy and creamy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use chewy caramel bites instead of homemade?

Yes, totally! If using this method, place the caramel piece on the pretzel and bake in the oven at 350F for a few minutes, or until the caramel has slightly melted. Then place the apple on top and enjoy.

What is the homemade caramel?

I used my homemade coconut caramel recipe that you can find here.

Do the apples turn brown?

Only slightly, but if stored in the fridge they will last up to 5 days.
