Let’s make a smoothie

I decided to use BareOrganics Digestion Water Enhancer and add it to one of my smoothie bowls. I really love how simple these blends are to add to just about anything. If you are in a hurry, or short on time- you can simply add one of them to water or juice. I had a little extra time this morning, so I decided to add one to my smoothie bowl.

Bananas can aid digestion and help beat gastrointestinal issues.

The enzymes in mangoes help in breaking down protein content in the body. Enriched with fibre, mangoes aid good digestion and prevents many stomach related diseases.

Spinach is just all around a great superfood to add to your diet. It’s great for your heart, eyes, skin, bones etc. It’s also so easy to add into smoothies. You won’t even taste it but you will reap all the benefits.

How to make a thick smoothie?

Thick smoothie bowls are my absolute favorite. They are a dream and taste so similar to frozen yogurt. I eat a thick smoothie bowl at least twice a week (sometimes more). I love that I now have these water enhancers from BareOrganics because now I can add even more nutrients to my smoothie’s without changing the taste too much!

Now the key to achieving a THICK smoothie bowl is to use frozen fruits and veggies and also only a small amount of liquid. You would think because the fruits are frozen you need more liquid to break them down- wrong.

The fruits and veggies will break down in the blender, and with only a small amount of liquid, they will blend together nicely to achieve that yummy frozen yogurt texture.

I like to use almond milk in my smoothie bowls, however you can use whichever milk that you prefer. You can also use coconut water, water or juice!

Ingredients

  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1 cup frozen mango
  • 1 cup frozen spinach
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 2 packets of BareOrganics Digestion Water Enhancer

2 servings

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. You may need to stop and scrape down the sides a few times.
  3. Top off with your favorite toppings. I chose strawberries, blueberries and coconut.
