Ingredients And Substitutions

These are the main ingredients and substitutions for High Protein Cheesecake Jars. Scroll down to the recipe card for a full list of ingredients and instructions.

Cottage cheese is the base of this recipe, it gives this cheesecake that distinct cheesy taste without the cream cheese.

Greek yogurt gives a tanginess to this recipe all while providing a creamy texture.

Maple syrup is my favorite sweetener to use in my recipes, it’s an unrefined sweetener that gives a lovely flavor.

Vanilla extract is necessary for any dessert! I prefer to use vanilla bean paste, but you can use vanilla extract as well.

Add on your favorite fruit for toppings, or mix in some cacao powder to make a chocolate version!

Crushed graham crackers create the crust for these cheesecake jars.

These were AMAZING! Way more than 5 stars! I will never eat another “unhealthy” cheesecake again now that I can have a healthier version of cheesecake. I used GF graham crackers, and in my opinion were way better than the regular graham crackers! I used a small 16 cup blender and it kept it thick and creamy. I also used my Ninja chopper to ground the graham crackers to a fine dust.

Make sure your blender etc works properly before making this…. A mixer with a whisk attachment doesn’t blend it smooth. However, the flavour is delightful! I’m allergic to eggs so finding cheesecake I can eat seems to be quite hard to do. So I am very pleasantly surprised this worked so very well. I used pre crushed graham crumbs though as I couldn’t find crackers. I will have to make this again! Yum! Thank you!

Hi Krystal! yes a blender is necessary for blending the cottage cheese to create a smooth and creamy texture! I’m so glad you enjoyed the recipe 🙂 Thanks for leaving a comment and rating- i really appreciate your feedback!

These are fantastic! I did sub Greek vanilla yogurt for the plain and only used 2 tablespoons of pure maple syrup. I did not make the chocolate version.
I was able to make eight jars and if my calculations are correct, there’s 94 cal in each jar (filling and graham crackers).

that’s amazing Robin! thanks so much for taking the time to leave a comment and rating! glad you enjoyed them 🙂

I am making this today (or tomorrow). I want to make half plain half chocolate. If I scoop out half or say three jars of the plain, how much cacao should I add to the rest?

hi there, it makes seven 4oz jars! there is a yield on the recipe card 🙂 how did you like them?
