Agave is recommended as the sweetener in any margarita cocktail, it’s the best pairing for tequila. Although you can substitute it if needed for maple syrup or honey if you don’t mind the change of flavor profile.
Freshly squeezed lime juice is a must for any margarita.
For best results, use a high quality ceremonial grade matcha powder such as pique, jade leaf, etc. Look for one that is bright green and vibrant. This is going to add the most flavor.
