ingredients and Substitutions
These are the main ingredients and substitutions for No Bake Apple Donuts. Be sure to scroll down to the recipe card at the bottom of this page for a full list of ingredients and instructions.
You can use any type of apple that you prefer! I would recommend something sweeter like honeycrisp, gala or fuji. You can use a green apple like Granny Smith, but it may be a little sour.
The frosting can be any nut or seed butter or yogurt! I used peanut butter, matcha almond butter, and plain greek yogurt. To make this recipe vegan and dairy free, use coconut or an almond milk based yogurt.
For the toppings, I used goji berries, chocolate chips, cacao nibs, sprinkles and trail mix. Feel free to get creative here and use any of your favorite toppings!

how to make
ONE: Slice the top and bottom from each apple and discard. Then, slice the apples into 1/2-inch circles. Set aside.

TWO: Using a knife, cut out the core from each apple slice and discard.

THREE: Then, add on your nut/seed butter and yogurt for the frosting.

FOUR: Lastly, add on your favorite toppings and enjoy!

Tips and tricks
Use a sharp knife or apple corer to take out the core from each apple ring.
How to serve and store
Serve these apple donuts with juice or an iced coffee!
