ingredients and Substitutions

These are the main ingredients and substitutions for No Bake Apple Donuts. Be sure to scroll down to the recipe card at the bottom of this page for a full list of ingredients and instructions.

You can use any type of apple that you prefer! I would recommend something sweeter like honeycrisp, gala or fuji. You can use a green apple like Granny Smith, but it may be a little sour.

The frosting can be any nut or seed butter or yogurt! I used peanut butter, matcha almond butter, and plain greek yogurt. To make this recipe vegan and dairy free, use coconut or an almond milk based yogurt.

For the toppings, I used goji berries, chocolate chips, cacao nibs, sprinkles and trail mix. Feel free to get creative here and use any of your favorite toppings!

Hi there! These look great. I can’t wait to make them with my daughter and let her decorate her own “donut”. Will you please let me know what brand of sprinkles you used for these?
