Prosecco or Champagne works best for this recipe, no need to grab an expensive bottle either! Alternatively, you could use vodka, rum, or your favorite liqueur.

Green grapes work best, although red or cotton candy would still taste amazing too. The only suggestion is to use grapes that are crunchy and not soft and soggy.

Cane sugar will glisten and give these grapes a sparkling look, although you could use coconut sugar instead if you’d like.

How To Make

ONE: Start by washing the grapes well and then removing each one from the stem. Use a toothpick to insert some holes in the grapes and then place in a large bowl.

TWO: Cover the grapes with a bottle of prosecco, cover and let marinate in the fridge for a minimum of 8 hours, or best over night. Grapes can soak up to 24 hours.

THREE: Drain the prosecco from the grapes, (save for a cocktail if desired), and toss each grape in sugar. Place on a baking sheet that’s lined with parchment paper and freeze or refrigerate until ready to enjoy.

Use crunchy grapes for best results, avoid any grapes that are sad looking or soggy.

Poking holes in the grapes allow for the champagne to seep in and absorb more.

Toss in sugar when the grapes are still wet so the sugar sticks.

Feel free to freeze these grapes and then bring to room temperature when serving.
