Strawberry Chocolate Overnight Oats

Strawberry Chocolate Overnight Oats are a delicious way to start each morning. These overnight oats are creamy, thick and full of so much flavor. A bowl of these overnight oats will leave you feeling full, energized and ready to take on the day.

Creamy, thick and non-dairy Overnight Oats

Overnight oats may just be one of my favorite meals to make. They’re easy, convenient, and perfect for busy mornings or anyone constantly on the go—like me! I love how quick they are to throw together, and with so many flavor variations, they never get boring. If you’re into this recipe, you have to try my Cottage Cheese Oats my Strawberry Overnight Oats for something a little more fun and indulgent

I ditched dairy milk many years ago, and since then have switched to non-dairy alternatives such as almondmilk. One brand that I have loved through the years is Almond Breeze. Almond Breeze has been pioneering how almonds are enjoyed for over 100 years. It’s a brand that I know, trust and thoroughly enjoy using in my day-to-day.

How to make overnight oats

Overnight oats are made the night before, however, you can also make them the same day (they just need a few hours to marinate in the fridge). I love making a big batch of them at the start of the week and having them on hand in the fridge. This way, I always have a healthy meal that is ready to go.

To make my overnight oats, I like to use a large jar, mason jar or Tupperware. Generally, you want something that has a lid so you can lock the moisture in. However, if you don’t have anything like this, you can simply cover any bowl with cellophane and that will work just fine.

To start, add oats to the mason jar. Followed by the remainder of ingredients: chia seeds, cacao, non-dairy yogurt, maple syrup and Almond Breeze Unsweetened Original Almondmilk. Mix well with a spoon until ingredients are well incorporated. You will have a thick creamy texture.

Cover the jar with a lid, and store in the fridge either overnight or up to 2 hours minimum. Then, stir and top it off with your toppings of choice.

For this recipe I used strawberries, cacao nibs and almond butter. This made for the most delicious breakfast that was filled with healthy ingredients!

Overnight oats are a delicious snack or breakfast option

Chocolate strawberry overnight oats are vegan and can easily be made gluten-free with the use of gluten-free old-fashioned oats.

I personally love overnight oats in the morning, but like I mentioned previously, they are great to meal prep for the week. For instance, if I’m feeling snacky, I can always reach for a small bowl of overnight oats that are ready to go in the fridge. I personally think they get better as the days go on as well.
