Use fresh watermelon slices for best results. Alternatively you can use watermelon juice from the store, or make your own by blending watermelon and straining the pulp.
Don’t use dried basil, this recipe needs to have fresh basil. Alternatively, you can also use mint.
Agave adds a touch of sweetness, you can omit this or swap it out for honey or maple syrup.
I used a jalapeno infused tequila which added to perfect touch of heat. You can use regular tequila instead.
Use fresh lime juice for best results.
Rim your glass with tajin or salt.

How To Make
ONE: In a shaker, add in fresh watermelon slices and fresh basil. Use a muddler to combine all ingredients until there are little to no chunks of the watermelon. Next, add in the tequila, agave, lime juice and a handful of ice. Add the lid back on and shake for 30 seconds.


THREE: Add mixture into a fresh glass that is lined with tajin and filled with ice. Garnish with a lime wedge and watermelon slice and enjoy.

If you don’t have a cocktail shaker or muddler, then it’s best to blend the watermelon juice separately and remove any pulp or seeds.

If you want it to be spicy, use jalapeno infused tequila and add in fresh jalapeno slices.
Use a chilled glass to keep your margarita cool for longer.
If you want your margarita even sweeter, add in more agave.
