ingredients and Substitutions
These are the main ingredients and substitutions for Whipped Feta. Be sure to scroll down to the recipe card at the bottom of this page for a full list of ingredients and instructions.
Use a plain feta cheese block such as this one from Athenos for best results. Avoid using feta crumbles which will result in a dry dip.
Greek yogurt helps give this recipe a tangy flavor and creamy texture. You can use any type of plain yogurt such as dairy-free.
Fresh garlic is going to give this dip a ton of flavor. Although I prefer using fresh garlic, you can also use minced garlic from a jar.
Using a high quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil is going to add a lovely flavor to this recipe. You can also use regular olive oil.
Raw honey has a ton of added benefits and nutrients, I love using the this one from Bee Keepers Naturals, but feel free to use your favorite honey in replace. However, be sure to check the ingredient list and use one where the only ingredient is honey.
Fresh lemon juice adds a tangy flavor to this dip.
Chop up some pistachios to throw on top for an added crunch. You can sub any type of nut here, however I would suggest using a toasted almond, walnut or pecan.
Bee pollen is a great antioxidant and anti-inflammatory superfood. Sprinkle some on top, they are tasteless but look gorgeous on this dish.
Serve this dip with pita bread or pita chips. I made my own pita chips by placing them in the air fryer at 350F for 8-10 minutes, shaking halfway through.

how to make
ONE: In a food processor, add in the feta, greek yogurt, garlic, evoo, honey and lemon juice. Blend for 3-5 minutes or until mixture is well incorporated, creamy and fluffy. You may need to stop to scrape down the sides a few times.

TWO: Add the dip to a dish and top with toppings. Drizzle on the honey, add on the chopped pistachios and bee pollen and then give a light drizzle of EVOO. Serve immediately with pita chips.

Tips and tricks

If you don’t have a food processor, you can also use a blender. However, you will need to stop to scrape down the sides a few times to ensure everything is well combined.
Use a high quality feta cheese block such as this one from Athenos, avoid using feta crumbles.
Enjoy whipped feta immediately to enjoy the creamy texture. Allowing it to sit in the fridge will result in a thicker consistency.
Make your own pita chips by simply cutting pita bread into triangles and placing them in an air fryer. Lightly coat with your favorite oil spray such as EVOO, coconut or avocado oil and then air fry at 350F for 8-10 minutes, shaking halfway through.

How to serve and store
Serve this dip with pita bread, pita chips, or fresh/ roasted vegetables. You can also use this dip as a spread for sandwiches, on salads and so much more.
Store this whipped feta in an air tight container in the fridge and enjoy within 3 days. For best results, allow leftovers to come to room temperature before serving.
Taste and Texture
This whipped feta is tangy, sweet and salty.
The texture is creamy, light and fluffy.

Made this today and it is beautiful. I dont care for feta alone but the ingredients all tame the flavor and work together.

I made this for the first time today and although the flavor was pretty good, it turned out pretty thin. I used block feta and plain Greek yogurt..what went wrong?
Hi Wendy! The more you blend the mixture the thinner it will get. I suggest blending until just combined and then serving. Also, the longer that it sits out at room temperature it will also start to thin out and “melt” so you can always pop it in the fridge for sometime to thicken up again.
