Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups of old fashioned oats
  • 1/3 cup coconut strips
  • 1/4 cup cacao powder
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup date syrup (may sub honey, agave or maple syrup)
  • 1/4 cup sun butter (or any other nut butter)
  • 1/4 cup diced almonds
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 300F
  • In a large bowl, combine-oats, coconut, coconut oil, date syrup, sun butter, diced almonds, and chia seeds. Mix with a spatula until well incorporated.
  • Pour granola mixture onto a baking sheet that is lined with parchment paper. Spread the mixture out so that it is in a thin layer.
  • Bake in the oven at 300F for 20 minutes.
  • Allow to cool completely, then break the granola apart with your hands into small and large clusters.
  • Store in an air tight container in a cool and dry place up to two weeks.

Notes

  • Spread Thinly – Ensure granola is in an even layer to avoid soggy or burnt spots.
  • Cool Completely – Let it fully cool before breaking into clusters for the best texture.
  • Add Mix-Ins Later – Stir in dried fruit, nuts, or chocolate chips after cooling to prevent burning.
  • Watch Closely – Check near the end of baking to avoid overcooking.
