Ingredients

For the rim

  • Unsweetened coconut flakes
  • Honey or agave

Coconut Margarita

  • Juice from 1/2 lime
  • 1 tsp honey (agave or maple syrup)
  • 1 oz cream of coconut
  • 2 oz casamigos tequila
  • 1 oz triple sec
  • Ice

Instructions

  • Start by toasting the coconut on the stovetop, oven or air fryer.
  • In a cocktail shaker, add in all the ingredients with a handful of ice. Add on the lid and shake vigorously until the ingredients are well combined.
  • Next, rim a glass by dipping it in honey and then coating it in the toasted coconut. Fill it with ice and then pour the mixture over and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use cream of coconut and not coconut cream. There will be a big difference in the cocktail.
  • To make this recipe vegan use maple syrup instead of honey.
  • Before juicing the lime, firmly roll it on the countertop under the palm of your hand. This helps get the juices flowing. Use a lime juicer for best results.
  • You can add more sweetener or coconut cream for a sweeter margarita.
