Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp milk of choice
  • 1 tbsp almond butter (or any other nut or seed butter)
  • 1½ tbsp maple syrup
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • 4 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • ⅓ tsp baking powder
  • Pinch salt
  • 1 tbsp chocolate chips

Instructions

  • In a microwave-safe mug, stir together the Greek yogurt, almond butter, milk, maple syrup, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Add the flour, cacao powder, baking powder, and salt. Mix until fully combined and no lumps remain.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips, then sprinkle a few extra on top.
  • Microwave for 60–90 seconds, depending on your microwave, until just set in the center.
  • Let it sit for 1–2 minutes before digging in. The chocolate chips will be perfectly melted and gooey.

Notes

  • Almond butter and peanut butter both work well in this recipe.
  • For extra richness, add additional chocolate chips on top before microwaving.
  • Best texture comes from slightly undercooking rather than overcooking.
  • Can be topped with whipped cream, ice cream, nut butter, or berries.
