Air Fried Vegan French Toast

Air fried vegan french toast is a sweet, simple and crunchy alternative to regular french toast. It is made with mashed bananas, cinnamon and almond milk, then air fried to a crispy perfection!

So I have tried vegan french toast many times before on the stove top, but they always seem to come out SOGGY. So, I decided to switch it up and try baking the toast in my air fryer, and the result was PERFECTION.

I used sourdough toast which gave this dish a sweet and sour flavor pairing. Once drizzled with maple syrup and smothered in vegan butter this fresh toast is really taken to the next level.

Ingredients needed to make air fried french toast

  • Sourdough toast
  • Banana
  • Cinnamon
  • Almond milk

  • Air fryer
  • Foil or parchment paper
  • Fork
  • Deep dish plate or bowl
  • Measuring cup

Air Fried Vegan Fresh Toast

Ingredients

  • 4-5 slices of sourdough bread
  • 1 mashed banana
  • 1 cup of almond milk
  • 1 Tbsp cinnamon

Directions

  1. In a large bowl or deep dish, mash banana until there are little to no chunks.
  2. Then, add in almond milk and cinnamon and mix until well combined.
  3. Dip each side of the sourdough bread into the mixture and coat well. Place on parchment paper or foil in the air fryer.
  4. “Fry” at 430F for 7-8 minutes or until crispy on the outside.
  5. Top off with your favorite butter and maple syrup.
