Bacon Wrapped Dates with Cream Cheese

The best appetizer for your next gathering
I first had Bacon Wrapped Dates with Cream Cheese at a restaurant with one of my girlfriends earlier this month. I’ve seen bacon wrapped dates before, but I never had the opportunity to try them until now. This restaurants dish had the date wrapped in bacon, and had goat cheese scattered around the dish. It was good, but I knew I could make it better.
You see, the date overpowered the bacon since there wasn’t anything stuffed inside of it. I thought it would be so much better if the date was utilized better by stuffing the inside with goat cheese, then wrapping in bacon. Oh, and did I mention these are made in the air fryer in less than 15 minutes?
I can’t wait to hear how you enjoy this recipe! Be sure to snap a photo and tag me on Instagram or Tiktok!

Ingredients in this delicious date recipe
These bacon wrapped stuffed dates really can’t be any easier to make, they only require 3ish ingredients and come together in less than 20 minutes, with prep time included.
- medjool dates
- bacon
- goat cheese
- balsamic glaze
- thyme
Why are these bacon wrapped dates so good? Well, these little bite sized appetizers are the perfect balance between sweet and salty. When you bite into them you get a salty taste from the bacon, but then it’s balanced out with a deliciously sweet flavor from the dates, and then lastly you taste the creamy and tangy goat cheese.
You definitely can make these bacon wrapped dates without the balsamic glaze and thyme, but I highly encourage it.

A few tips and trips to getting the perfect outcome
This recipe is made in the air fryer, but you can also make them in the oven if you don’t have one!
Use a Toothpick: To ensure the bacon cooks on all sides, it’s crucial to use a toothpick so that you can easily turn them during cooking time. This is also an easy way to serve them at a party.
Air Fryer Method: Place the bacon wrapped dates inside the air fryer on a sheet of parchment paper (for easy cleanup) and air fry at 350F for 12-15 minutes, stopping halfway through and turning the dates so the bacon cooks on each side.
Oven Method: Preheat the oven to 350F and place the bacon wrapped dates on a baking sheet that’s lined with parchment paper. Bake for 18 minutes, turning halfway through to cook the bacon on all sides. For crispier bacon, turn the oven temperature to 375F.
