How to make birthday cake oats

This is the most perfect breakfast to make after a workout or anytime really. I know most people think stove top oats take a long time, but they are really quite quick and efficient.

To start, mash 1/2 of the banana in a small sauce pan, add in the oats, almond milk, chia seeds and cinnamon and mix until ingredients are well combined. Heat over medium to low heat.

Then, just let them simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until the liquid is absorbed and you have thick and creamy oats.

Turn off the heat and pour your oats into a bowl, top off with granola butter, the other half of the banana and then sprinkles and you have yourself some marvelous birthday cake oats that are guaranteed to boost your mood!
