Birthday Cake Granola

Making my own granola was something that I discovered during quarentine. I never really looked into how it was made or realized how easy it is to make. I love granola to either snack on, or to throw on top of yogurt bowls or smoothie bowls.

The first granola recipe I made was my Blueberry Flax Granola. It was inspired by granola that I ate at an acai place. Since then, I have been in the kitchen experimenting with new flavors!
I also love a classic birthday cake recipe. So that was my next go-to. I hit the kitchen playing around with flavors until finally I created the perfect birthday cake granola recipe.

How do you make Birthday Cake Granola
Granola in general is such an easy recipe to make! All that you have to do is combine the ingredients and then BAKE.
You’re in luck, because this recipe is no different.
To start, you will combine the drive ingredients in a large bowl. This includes old fashioned oats, puffs, ground flaxseed meal, salt cinnamon, and sprinkles.
Then, in a small saucepan over med-low heat, combine sun-butter and maple syrup until just combined. Then pour into dry mixture and mix with a spatula until well incorporated.
After you have done this, you will then pour this mixture onto a baking sheet that is lined with parchment paper. you will want to keep the granola in close proximately, but in a thin layer. This is to allow the granola to harden but still get those yummy clusters!
Bake at 350F for 25 minutes. Allow to cool completely before breaking apart with your fingers.
