Neapolitan Cheesecake Jars (with Cottage Cheese)
If you grew up loving the classic trio of strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla, these Neapolitan Cheesecake Jars are about to become your new favorite no-bake dessert. They’re thick, creamy, layered with nostalgic flavor, and made with my signature blended cottage cheese cheesecake base that turns unbelievably smooth and silky.

The best part is that each layer comes together from one simple cheesecake base, making these feel impressive without requiring a ton of extra work. The chocolate layer is rich and fudgy, the strawberry layer tastes fresh and fruity, and the vanilla layer ties everything together with that classic cheesecake flavor. They’re perfect for meal prep, hosting, or keeping stocked in the fridge whenever you want something sweet and creamy. I love topping these with a big dollop of coconut whipped cream because it gives them that extra creamy, ice cream sundae-inspired feel.
One thing I love about cheesecake jars is how easy they are to customize while still feeling bakery-worthy. These remind me of the same creamy, indulgent feel as my Pistachio Cheesecake Jars and Key Lime Cheesecake Jars, but with a fun nostalgic twist inspired by classic Neapolitan ice cream. If you love layered desserts, you’d also love my Cherry Cheesecake Brownies or even my Strawberry Tiramisu for another strawberry-forward dessert moment.

How to Make
Add the cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, maple syrup, vanilla bean paste, and salt to a blender. Blend until completely smooth and creamy.

Transfer about ⅓ of the cheesecake mixture to a bowl. Stir in cocoa powder and a splash of milk until smooth and creamy.

Add another ⅓ of the cheesecake mixture back into the blender with strawberries and maple syrup. Blend until smooth and pink.

Layer in jars, and top with crushed graham crackers, strawberries, chocolate shavings, or coconut whip if desired.

Tips and Tricks
- Blend the cheesecake base extra smooth for the creamiest texture.
- Use frozen (thawed) strawberries if fresh strawberries are not in season.
- Chill the jars before layering for cleaner, more defined layers.
- Add a splash of milk only if the chocolate layer feels too thick.
- Top with graham crackers right before serving so they stay crunchy.
How to Save and Store
Store the cheesecake jars covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. For the best texture, wait to add crunchy toppings like graham crackers until just before serving.

Neapolitan Cheesecake Jars (with Cottage Cheese)
Ingredients
Cheesecake Base
- 2 cups cottage cheese
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (I usd Fage 0%)
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon vanilla bean paste
- Pinch of salt
Chocolate Layer
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
Strawberry Layer
- ½ cup strawberries
Vanilla Layer
- Reserved plain cheesecake mixture
Optional Toppings
- Crushed graham crackers
- Fresh strawberries
- Chocolate shavings
- Coconut whipped cream
Instructions
Make the Cheesecake Base
- Add the cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, maple syrup, vanilla bean paste, and salt to a blender.
- Blend until completely smooth and creamy.
Make the Chocolate Layer
- Divide the cheesecake mixture evenly into thirds. Each portion should be about 1 cup + 2 tablespoons.
- Stir in cocoa powder until smooth and creamy.
Make the Strawberry Layer
- Add another ⅓ of the cheesecake mixture back into the blender with strawberries. You can add more maple syrup if desired, I think it's sweet enough without it, but that's up to your preference!
- Blend until smooth and pink.
Keep the Vanilla Layer Plain
- Leave the remaining cheesecake mixture as-is for the vanilla layer.
Assemble the Jars
- Layer the chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry cheesecake mixtures into jars in any order you like.
- I love doing chocolate on the bottom, vanilla in the middle, and strawberry on top for that classic Neapolitan look.
Chill & Serve
- Refrigerate for at least 1–2 hours before serving for the best thick and creamy texture.
- Top with crushed graham crackers, strawberries, chocolate shavings, or coconut whip if desired.
Notes
- I love using Good Culture Cottage Cheese for the creamiest texture.
- The layers do not need to be perfectly even, the imperfect swirls and layers make them look extra homemade and fun.
- You can add the mixtures into pipping bags if you’re looking for cleaner layers.
- These taste even better after chilling for a few hours once the flavors have had time to meld together.

I’m going to try this tomorrow! It sounds awesome .. But if I can’t find vanilla bean paste, would vanilla extract work?
yes! vanilla extract is great!
What size jars did you use?
These are 8oz jars!
Are there nutrition facts on this?
Hi! 🤍 For these Neapolitan Cheesecake Jars, each jar comes out to roughly 19g protein per serving (1 of 4 jars). I don’t currently have the full nutrition breakdown listed on the blog, but each jar is approximately:
• Calories: ~170–190
• Protein: ~19g
• Carbohydrates: ~10–12g
• Fat: ~3–4g
This will vary slightly depending on the brands of cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, and toppings used.
I just made this now and added a little bit of graham cracker at the bottom so it’s like a real cheesecake with the graham cracker at the bottom and now it is sitting in my fridge I did not measure accurately because I was worried I would not have enough for a whole cup into tablespoons of each flavor so I just went at whim and I now have four Neapolitan flavored and one whole strawberry which I am not complaining that being said while making them I taste tested them as well as my two young children and it tastes pretty good and they really liked it (and they hate cottage cheese)!
I used 8 oz mason jars and it made five total! I can’t wait to try them once they upset after a couple hours in the fridge!
