Ingredients And Substitutions

These are the main ingredients and substitutions for Viral Scored Potatoes. Scroll down to the recipe card for a full list of ingredients and instructions.

Mini gold potatoes work best, but you can also use tri-colored potatoes or red mini potatoes.

Use a grass-fed butter such as Kerry Gold for best results, this is going to add a ton of more flavor. If vegan, opt for a dairy-free, vegan butter instead.

Freshly chopped rosemary is going to add a ton of flavor and a touch of herb. Dried rosemary will work too.

Smoked paprika adds a lovely smokey flavor that always tastes great on top of potatoes.

Zaatar is a blend of savory dried herbs like oregano, thyme, and toasted earthy spices like cumin and coriander.

Garlic and onion powder go hand in hand and add a distinct flavor and taste.

Salt and pepper to help balance out all the spices.

Use freshly grated parmesan cheese for best results, pre-shredded cheese will work as well.

How To Make

ONE: Preheat the oven to 425F. While the oven is preheating, prepare the potatoes by scoring the tops. Be careful not to slice all the way through, but slice deep enough so the paste can enter the crevices.
