Ingredients And Substitutions
These are the main ingredients and substitutions for Cottage Cheese Cookie Dough. Scroll down to the recipe card for a full list of ingredients and instructions.
I used a low-fat cottage cheese for this recipe, but you can use any kind that you prefer!
Almond flour helps to add texture to this cookie dough while keeping is completely grain and gluten free. I have not tested it with other flours, although i’m sure oat flour will work great too. Otherwise, you can leave it out and just add in more protein powder.
Use your favorite brand of vanilla protein powder. For this recipe I used the Vanilla protein powder from Amazing Grass which tasted great without any weird after taste.
To sweeten up this recipe slightly, use maple syrup which is my favorite sweetener because it’s all natural and refined sugar free. Alternatively you can use agave, honey or date syrup.
Vanilla extract is just an added touch of flavor that I highly recommend adding in, but can be skipped as well.
Use your favorite chocolate chips, I recommend using a version of mini chocolate chips and chocolate chunks so you have a bit in each bite.

How To Make
ONE: In a food processor, add in the cottage cheese, almond flour, vanilla protein powder, maple syrup and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth and creamy.

TWO: Remove mixture and add it to a bowl, then fold in the chocolate chips and mix until well combined and enjoy!

Tips And Tricks
Use a food processor to combine all the ingredients for best results. If you don’t have a food processor, use a blender to just blend the cottage cheese and then mix in the rest of the ingredients by hand.
How To Serve And Store
Serve this Cottage Cheese Cookie Dough once all the ingredients are well incorporated. Best served chilled and with chocolate chips.
Store in an airtight container in the fridge and enjoy within 3-4 days.

Taste And Texture
This Cottage Cheese Cookie Dough really truly tastes like cookie dough, with just a slight tangy aftertaste. You really can’t taste the cottage cheese at all, I think the protein powder does a great job at masking it.
The texture is thick and creamy like traditional cookie dough.
