Ingredients And Substitutions
These are the main ingredients and substitutions for No Bake Brownie Bites. Scroll down to the recipe card for a full list of ingredients and instructions.
Both gluten-free old fashioned oats and regular oats work great for this recipe. I have not tested it with quick oats.
Cacao powder for that deep, rich chocolate flavor.
Ground flax for an added boost of fiber and protein. You can omit if you don’t have it on hand.
Maple syrup for a bit of all natural sweetness. You can also use honey, agave or date syrup.
Almond butter or cashew butter work the best for this recipe. However if you want to make them nut free, then opt for sunflower seed butter or oat butter.
You can’t have brownies without chocolate chips!

How To Make
These no bake bites are incredibly easy to make and come together in under 10 minutes!
ONE: In a medium bowl, combine dry ingredients: oat flour, cacao, and ground flax.

TWO: Then, add in wet ingredients: almond butter and maple syrup. Mix with a spatula until ingredients are well incorporated.

THREE: Fold in chocolate chips last.

FOUR: Use a cookie scoop to scoop batter and roll into a ball with the palm of your hands. Place on a plate and store in the fridge to harden completely or enjoy on the spot.

Tips And Tricks
Combine dry ingredients first, then add in wet.
If mixture is too dry and crumbly, add in more seed butter and maple syrup.
Measure your dry ingredients by scooping them out with a spoon rather than dipping the entire measuring cup into the container. This way you ensure you are getting the correct amount.
Use your hands to really incorporate the ingredients if needed.
Add more chocolate chips on top if desired.

How To Serve And Store
Store these bites in an airtight container in the fridge and enjoy within 7-10 days.
Serve with a glass of milk or cup of coffee!
Taste And Texture
These no bake brownie bites taste like brownie batter! They are rich, indulgent, sweet and delicious. With each bite you have a crunch from the chocolate chips, making these bites that much more satisfying.
The texture is chewy and smooth.

Hi, thank you for the delicious recipes. I am allergic to oats. Can I substitute oat flour for any other flour like almond perhaps. Thank you. Have an amazing day!
Hi Dennis! Yes, almond flour will work too but you will need to add more than what you’d add for oat flour. So, just keep adding in a bit more at a time until you reach the right consistency.
