The best baked oats you’ll ever have
Chocolate for breakfast is always a good idea to me. It’s no surprise that I have a huge sweet tooth, most of the recipes on my page are full of healthier desserts and this nutella baked oat recipe is no different. This recipe is made with simple ingredients and comes together in about 25 minutes.
I used my own homemade nutella to make this recipe which is made up of three ingredients: roasted hazelnuts, cacao powder and coconut sugar. If you don’t want to make your own you can use any nutella that you’d like.
I love making this recipe, especially on a cold morning. It’s so cozy and tastes amazing with a cup of coffee. I can’t wait to hear how you like it. Ingredients in nutella baked oats
This recipe was adapted from my cookie dough baked oats that I made earlier this year when baked oats were trending. That recipe is one of my most popular so it was only fitting that I created something similar with my homemade nutella. This recipe contains very healthy and simple ingredients, grab them below and let’s get baking.
- old fashioned oats, I used organic
- baking powder
- sea salt
- banana
- nutella
- almond milk
- vegan chocolate chips, optional but encouraged
How to make nutella baked oats
Nutella baked oats are easy and stress free to make! If you’re making this recipe for two people, just double the ingredients! The full recipe with step by step instructions is outlined below on the recipe card, but let’s go through it briefly here.
To start, preheat the oven to 350F and grab a blender! I like to use my blendtec, but feel free to use whichever blender that you have on hand! If you don’t have a blender, you can still make this recipe but the texture may vary.
Next, in your blender combine all the ingredients with the exception of the chocolate chips. Add in the oats, baking powder, sea salt, banana, nutella and almond milk and blend for about 45 seconds to 1 minute or until ingredients are combined.
Then, pour the mixture into an oven safe ramekin. You can stop here and bake as is, but I like to take it a step further and add a tablespoon of nutella to the center and top with vegan chocolate chips. Once you’re done, add the ramekin to the center of the preheated oven and bake for 23-25 minutes.
Remove and let cool for 5-10 minutes before enjoying.
