Ingredients And Substitutions

The base of this dip is made with cream cheese. I use low-fat but you can use regular if you’d like. To make this recipe dairy free or vegan, opt for a vegan cream cheese instead!

Also added into the base is greek yogurt for a creamy and tangy flavor. You use sour cream instead of opt for a dairy free version like plain vegan yogurt or vegan sour cream.

This dip is nothing without the seasonings which is a blend of garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper and ranch seasoning.

Add in a touch of pickle juice to the dip to really bring out that pickly flavor.

Finely chop and dice some dill pickles and add those in there too.

Once your dip is prepared, sprinkle it with toasted breadcrumbs and finish it off with fresh dill and enjoy!

How To Make

ONE: Start by toasting the breadcrumbs on the stovetop in a skillet. Add in 1 tbsp of butter or oil and then the breadcrumbs. Watch carefully because it will toast rather quickly, about 2-3 minutes. Set breadcrumbs aside.

TWO: In an electric mixture, add in the softened cream cheese, greek yogurt, pickle juice, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper and ranch seasoning. Whisk on high speed for about 2-3 minutes or until mixture is light and fluffy.

Tips And Tricks

Toast the breadcrumbs first so they have time to cool slightly.

Watch the breadcrumbs carefully as they will toast rather quickly.

Use an electric mixture to combine all the dip ingredients. This is best for creating that light and fluffy texture. If you don’t have an electric mixture, you can opt for food processor.

Otherwise mixing by hand is still an option but it will take some elbow grease.

How To Serve And Store

Serve this Fried Pickle Dip with your favorite chips, pretzels or veggies like celery, carrots or broccoli.

Store in an airtight container in the fridge an enjoy within 5-6 days.

If making ahead of time, don’t store with the breadcrumbs on top, instead store separately and add them on once ready to serve.
