ingredients and Substitutions

These are the main ingredients and substitutions for Peach Guava Crisp. Be sure to scroll down to the recipe card at the bottom of this page for a full list of ingredients and instructions.
Use just under ripe peaches for best results. Since these peaches will soften during baking time, you don’t want them to be overly ripe otherwise they will be more mushy than firm.
You can use fresh guava or guava jam like I used. This is quick, easy and full of flavor.
Maple syrup is a unrefined sweetener that I love using in my recipes. You can also use honey, agave or date syrup. You may also use a granulated sugar like cane, coconut or brown.
Cinnamon adds a ton of flavor and gives this crisp a warm flavor.
The toppings is made with a blend of old fashioned oats and oat flour.
I love adding in ground flax for a boost of fiber.
You can use coconut oil, avocado oil, olive oil or any other type of oil.
how to make
ONE: Preheat the oven and then diced the peaches. Place them in a baking dish and top with guava jam, maple syrup and cinnamon. Mix until well combined and set aside.

TWO: In a medium bowl, combine oat flour, oats, ground flax, melted coconut oil and maple syrup. Then, evenly distribute this crumble on top of the peaches, leaving little to no peaches showing underneath.

THREE: Bake for 30 minutes and then let cool for a few minutes before serving as is or enjoying with vanilla ice cream or your favorite dairy free/dairy yogurt.
