Ingredients And Substitutions

You can use fresh or frozen blueberries for this recipe. I recommend using frozen for a more cost efficient recipe. Alternatively, you can use any other fruit like strawberries, black berries, mixed berries, etc.

I used Kerry Gold grass-fed butter for this recipe, but you can also use a plant-based or dairy free alternative if desired.

Any cake mix will work, although I do recommend using a vanilla or yellow flavored one for best results.

How To Make

ONE: Melt butter in a medium bowl and then mix in the cake mix until you have a thick batter.

TWO: Add frozen blueberries to a baking dish, then drop on the cake batter and spread evenly.

THREE: Bake until golden brown and enjoy with vanilla ice cream.

Tips And Tricks

Use frozen blueberries for a more cost efficient recipe.

Drop the cobbler batter over the blueberries in sections and then spread evenly. This will make it much easier to spread then adding the whole batter on at once.

I used a pie dish for this recipe, which the baking time took a bit longer since it’s a pretty deep dish. If you’re using a standard 9×13 or any other size dish, you may only need to bake for 45 minutes.

You know your cobbler is done baking when the center is set and firm to the touch.
