ingredients and Substitutions
These are the main ingredients and substitutions for Air Fryer Carrot Fries. Be sure to scroll down to the recipe card at the bottom of this page for a full list of ingredients and instructions.
Organic or regular whole carrots work best for this recipe. You can also use baby carrots but the texture may differ slightly.
These carrot fries are drizzled with Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Another great alternative would be coconut oil or avocado oil.
Use a combination of garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt and pepper for the seasoning.
After these carrot fries are fried, they are drizzled with a Japanese Mayo, Kewpie and topped with freshly chopped parsley.

how to make
ONE: Wash carrot well and then slice into 1/2″ pieces. Cut the carrots in half, and then into smaller pieces.


TWO: Place the carrot fries into a large mixing bowl and drizzle with the evoo and seasonings. Mix well until each piece is well coated.


THREE: Add the carrot fries in a single layer inside the air fryer and fry at 400F for 15 minutes, shaking halfway through.

FOUR: Add your carrots to a plate and drizzle with mayo and top with fresh parsley. ENJOY!


Tips and tricks
For seamless carrot fries, cut the ends off of each of the carrots and then cut it in half. Place the halved carrot face down and cut into it once more.
Make sure each carrot fry is well coated and seasoned.
Try not to over crowd your air fryer so that each piece has air, this will allow them to be crispy!
How to serve and store
Serve these carrot fries with Japanese Mayo and freshly chopped parsley. Alternatively you can make your own spicy mayo sauce, serve with ketchup or a garlic aioli.
Store these carrots in an air tight container and warm up in the air fryer for best results. You may also warm them up in the microwave, however, they may tend to be more soggy as leftovers.

These carrot fries have a sweet taste, very similar to sweet potato fries. They are crispy on the edges and are the perfect balance of sweet and savory.
The texture is soft, crunchy and crispy.
