ingredients and Substitutions
These are the main ingredients and substitutions for Strawberry Moscow Mule. Be sure to scroll down to the recipe card at the bottom of this page for a full list of ingredients and instructions.
Use fresh and ripe strawberries for a naturally sweeter cocktail.
I personally love Titos Vodka, but you can use your favorite kind.
Fresh lime juice adds the perfect amount of tang. You can also use lime juice from a jar if needed.
A touch of maple syrup sweetens this cocktail up. You can use agave, honey, simple syrup, or just leave it out.
Ginger beer is fizzy, tangy and sweet and is an important ingredient when making moscow mules.
Garnish your cocktail with fresh mint and a lime wedge.

how to make
ONE: Start by dicing the strawberries, I used 2 for each drink. Place them into a copper mug or glass and muddle them until there are little to no chunks left.
TWO: Next, add in the vodka, lime juice and maple syrup. Mix until combined and add in the ice.
THREE: Finish it off with ginger beer and a garnish of mint and a lime wedge.

Tips and tricks
If you don’t have a muddler, you can use a fork and just crush the strawberries until there are little to no chunks left.
The more you crush the strawberries, the more strawberry flavor this mule will be.
Use copper mugs for best results, however, if you don’t have any a regular glass will work just as good.
If you’re making a big bag, use a pitcher instead.
How to serve and store
Serve these strawberry moscow mules with your favorite appetizers. I personally love my whipped feta, guacamole, or mango salsa.
This cocktail is best enjoyed immediately and does not save well.
If you are making a big batch ahead of time, feel free to store the drink separate from the ice.

Taste and Texture
This strawberry moscow mule is sweet from the fresh ripe strawberries add maple syrup, while the ginger adds a little bit of spice.
frequently asked questions
You can absolutely use any berry in replace of strawberries, or just leave them out for a classic moscow mule.
You definitely can, I’d recommend tequila or gin.
A regular glass will work just as good!
